Did CIA Vet “Encode” True UFO Info Into Science Fiction Novel?

By KEN KORCZAK

Let me start by revealing the “secret sauce” that purports to make The Cryptos Conundrum special and quite unlike any other standard science fiction book.

It was written by long-time CIA operative Chase Brandon. He said he opted to write a book of fiction because he can’t publish the factual book he would like to bring out about CIA secrets now that he has retired after 35 years.

Those (apparently astounding) secrets he is itching to reveal from the CIA files remain classified as “Top Secret.”

Thus, because he can’t spill all the “real juicy details,” Brandon is offering us this fictionalized account, and he invites his readers to “read between the lines.

In particular, Brandon is talking about classified CIA documents involving UFOs and what the U.S. top spy agency knows about alien life and activity on our planet.

Chase Brandon retired after 35 years of service with the CIA

I don’t think it’s a secret to anyone that the Central Intelligence Agency has been up to its eyeballs in the UFO issue for decades.

The federal spy agency has a “UFO desk” and has consistently assigned officers to investigate, keep tabs on and otherwise “handle” how UFOs affect the security of the United States.

CIA operatives have also gleefully latched onto the UFO issue because certain spy creeps instantly realized that they could leverage UFOs to create misdirection, phony stories, various psy-ops and sundry tools for diverting public attention from all kinds of other issues.

Notice I use the terms “operatives” and “officers” rather than “agent.” This is significant because the CIA does not have “agents.”

That’s according to 25-year CIA veteran John Ramirez. He retired from the agency recently as an officer with GS-15 status.

Side Note: In case you’re wondering, a GS-15 is a lofty status reserved for top-level federal jobs, such as supervisors, advanced technical specialists and professionals holding advanced degrees. The minimum pay for a GS-15 is $110,460 per year. Officer Ramirez was probably earning the maximum of $143,598 when he retired.

Ramirez is a fan of Brandon’s Cryptos Conundrum book and waved around a copy frequently during a recent interview with “Jay” over at the Project Unity webcast.

Ramirez also stated that everyone in the CIA knows Brandon Chase and that Brandon Chase “is a legend” within the organization.

Ramirez reiterated the idea that, while Brandon’s book is presented as science fiction, savvy readers might learn a lot about what is really happening if they — you know — can “read between the lines.”

Okay!

LET’S PLAY “TRUTH” OR “FICTION”

So now, Dear Readers, I invite you to play a special and (hopefully) fun game with me!

Having read The Cryptos Conundrum — while clawing at my brain in my attempted to “read between the lines” — I am now going to list my Top 10 list of “fabulous reveals” I encountered in this narrative. I will then make my own judgment as to the possible “truth or fiction” of each item.

I will present a multiple-choice of options under each “reveal.” They are:

  1. 100% True
  2. Likely true
  3. Plausible
  4. Likely Not True
  5. Complete Fiction or Untrue
  6. Insane Ravings

I will make my selection for each item, and I invite you to make your own selection. Maybe we can all compare notes at the end. You can post your own choices in the comments section below. Feel free to disagree with my selections.

So, let’s get started with item number one as described by former CIA man Chase Brandon in his “fictionalized” book about CIA/UFO secrets:

  1. The CIA has in its possession an incredible device, a mysterious “crystal,” of ancient alien origin, that enables government scientists to look back into history and view in “real-time” any historical event that has ever happened. For example, if they want to watch a “movie” of the moment when Julius Caesar was assassinated, the building of the Egyptian pyramids or the Battle of Gettysburg, they can view it as if they are watching a YouTube video of that event.

Is this:

A. 100% True

B. Likely true

My vote: B! Likely true!

  1. The cafeteria used by the elite top brass of the CIA in a secret underground location is staffed by top-of-the-line chefs who have in their possession “world secret recipes” — absolutely no one else has them — that enable CIA cooks to make the most delicious meals you can ever imagine. The yumminess of the CIA cafeteria menu is off-the-charts scrumptious!

A. 100% true

B. Likely true

C. Plausible

D. Likely Not True

E. Complete Fiction or Untrue

F. Insane ravings

My vote: I choose A! 100% true!

  1. The CIA has, for decades, been diligently carving out a system of vast underground tunnels and huge caverns large enough to hold major cities able to support a population of perhaps a million people or more. This underground realm is served by superfast bullet trains and runs for thousands of miles under areas of the East Coast of the U.S. and there are other underground facilities of massive proportion in other parts of the nation.

A. 100% true

B. Likely true

C. Plausible

E. Complete Fiction or Untrue

F. Insane ravings

My vote: A! 100% true!

  1. The 1947 crash of a UFO near Roswell did not contain the standard “Gray” aliens as a crew, but rather, large and dangerous aliens that were a cross between a T-Rex dinosaur and a giant gelatinous snail-like creature. The “Gray” story was a cover story invented by the CIA.

A. 100% true

B. Likely true

C. Plausible

D. Likely Not True

E. Complete Fiction or Untrue

F. Insane ravings

My vote: F! Insane ravings!

  1. In 1958, the USS Roosevelt aircraft carrier was confronted by a small fleet of UFOs that came out from under the water and subsequently shot down several U.S. fighter jets that had been scrambled to go after them. In retaliation, the Captain of the Roosevelt ordered a tactical nuclear missile strike against the UFO “mothership” and destroyed it in midair. The huge UFO fell into the sea.

A. 100% true

B. Likely true

C. Plausible

D. Likely Not True

E. Complete Fiction or Untrue

F. Insane ravings

My vote: D, likely not true. (Note: I really struggled with this one).

  1. All biological life, including humankind, has been manipulated from the beginning by an extremely ancient and godlike race of “Progenitor Beings” who seeded life throughout the universe and set in motion the creation of a Galactic Federation and/or warring factions of alien races across our galaxy and beyond.

A. 100% true

B. Likely true

C. Plausible

D. Likely Not True

E. Complete Fiction or Untrue

My vote: B, likely true.

  1. The author of The Cryptos Conundrum, CIA officer Chase Brandon, is the 1st cousin of actor Tommy Lee Jones who starred in the Men In Black movies about government agents who dealt with aliens living on our planet. Furthermore, Brandon served as a consultant on the MIB movie, helping to create the plot and content.

A. 100% true

B. Likely true

C. Plausible

D. Likely Not True

E. Complete Fiction or Untrue

F. Insane ravings

My answer: A — It’s 100% true!

— and you can Google it and look it up if you don’t believe me. CIA man Chase Brandon and Tommy Lee Jones are cousins. Furthermore, Tommy Lee Jones and former Vice President Al Gore were roommates at Harvard University.

  1. The CIA has a device that can selectively erase memories from the human brain. It does that by shining a laser-like beam into the ear of a subject where the energy of the beam can “blot neural emitters, absorb select pixels of cerebral encoding and degauss electronic bites of memorial information from synaptic recesses.” (Note: this would be similar to the device used by Will Smith in the Men In Black movie when he flashed a kind of pen-light device into the eyes of people to erase their memories.)

A. 100% true

B. Likely true

C. Plausible

D. Likely Not True

E. Complete Fiction or Untrue

F. Insane ravings

My vote: C! Plausible!

  1. In a kind of reverse manner using a device similar to the brain-eraser described above, CIA scientists were able to encode the brains of chimpanzees with novel information that boosted the IQs of the primates and enabled them to speak human language.

A. 100% true

B. Likely true

C. Plausible

D. Likely Not True

E. Complete Fiction or Untrue

F. Insane ravings

My vote: C! Plausible!

  1. The CIA is able to apply advanced super-computer-enabled imaging manipulation techniques to photos taken by the Hubble Telescope and other space-based imaging platforms that reveal astounding aspects of deep space, including alien activities in deep space, none of which will ever be revealed to the public.

A. 100% true

B. Likely true

C. Plausible

D. Likely Not True

E. Complete Fiction or Untrue

F. Insane ravings

My vote: A! 100% True!

So what did you think of my votes? I sincerely hope you will consider posting your own list of selections in the comment section. I want to know what you think.

In closing, I’ll just say that, whatever the case, The Cryptos Conundrum is a gripping read. If we just put aside the not-so-subtle implication that the book is based on true information — (is it merely a clever marketing ploy?) — and treat it as a straight science fiction novel, it acquits itself well in that genre.

All aspects — the plot, strong characterization, inventiveness, dazzling speculative science, adventure, and action scenes —  makes for a decent sci-fi yarn that is admirably handled.

I would love to see a big-budget Hollywood movie with a lot of Fx based on this novel… it could star Tommy Lee Jones.
