A Sept. 9 Congressional hearing featuring UFO whistleblowers creates a stir, but a controversial video steals the show and muddies the waters
A new round of Congressional hearings conducted on September 9 provided another high-profile public platform for more UFO secrecy whistleblowers to come forward.
It was an event that exceeded expectations, with some top figures in ufology calling it a “leap forward” and a significant move toward Disclosure.
However, what turned out to be the most talked about revelation of the day was a sensational video unexpectedly released by Congressman Eric Burlison showing an orb-like UFO taking a direct hit from a Hellfire missile fired by a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone.
The drone-on-UFO attack purportedly took place over the ocean off the coast of Yemen. The date of the drone-on UFO strike is unknown — as is a whole lot of other information — and that turns out to be extremely problematic. I’ll tell you why later in this article.
But first:
The publicly televised congressional hearing also featured mind-blowing witness testimony from high-ranking Air Force and Naval officers, and a former long-time U.S Intelligence Community (IC) operative.
Unfortunately, the instantly controversial video was the only aspect of the hearing that was picked up by the major mainstream media. In addition to millions of social media views across all platforms, the dominant media kahunas — ABC News, NBC, FOX, CBS — and others ran the drone-on-UFO strike for their viewing audiences.
All these legacy media outlets offered little more and largely ignored the amazing UFO testimony of the whistleblowers.
As for the whistleblowers, they dished out one astounding story after another, telling of their personal interactions and encounters with UFOs. These accounts included close-up sightings of gigantic black triangle craft, a giant “red square” appearing over a sensitive testing site, brilliant orbs and a USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) that rose out of the ocean and flew off into the sky after meeting up with other unidentified objects.
It’s worth a special note that taking center stage at the hearing was TV journalist George Knapp, a renowned and multi-award-winning (including 27 regional Emmys) mainstream news reporter for KLAS 8 NEWS NOW in Las Vegas.
Knapp is also among the most well-known figures in the UFO community. For example, he is the first journalist to bring the Bob Lazar Area 51 story to public attention. Knapp has authored bestselling books, such as Hunt for Skinwalker: Science Confronts the Unexplained at a Remote Utah Ranch. His co-authors were top, high-security-clearance government scientists, Dr. James Lacatski and Dr. Colm Kelleher.
Knapp is the only journalist who penetrated the former Soviet Union’s veil of UFO secrecy. He traveled there in the early 90s and returned with a goldmine of USSR highly classified UFO documents — dangerously risking his freedom to smuggle the documents out of Russia.
STRIKING FIRST-HAND WITNESS ACCOUNTS
Now, I’ll note two of the first-hand witness accounts of the whistleblowers who encountered their UFO experiences while serving in their official military or Intelligence Community capacities. First up is:
JEFFREY NUCCETELLI
This man is an Air Force veteran who served 16 years as a military police officer and logged 20 years total in national security, law enforcement and public administration.
He describes incidents at California’s Vandenberg Air Force Base starting in October 2003 and continuing through 2005. Vandenberg is home to the National Missile Defense Project.
Nuccetelli said that during this time, test launches of various weapons systems occurred that the National Reconnaissance Office deemed “the most important in 25 years” and called it “historic.” Thus, security and secrecy protocols surrounding the launch tests were “extreme.”
And yet, Nuccetelli said the test areas were “repeatedly breached by low-flying UAPs,” which no one could control or do anything about. He said each incident was “witnessed by multiple personnel, documented, investigated and reported up the chain of command.”
All the information resulting from these investigations was classified, kept from public disclosure — not even revealed to servicemen like Nuccetelli, who apparently was too far down the chain of command to have access.
THE FLYING “RED SQUARE”
On October 14, 2003, Nuccetelli said that Boeing contractors working on site reported a “massive glowing red square” object that hovered silently over two missile defense sites and then “moved east and vanished over the hills.” He said this event was thoroughly documented, investigated and that information has been provided both to AARO and the FBI.
Nuccetelli then said later that night, while he was on duty, five security guards reported a “bright, fast-moving object over the ocean.” Nuccetelli responded to the incident and was told by the security guards who described a “massive triangular-shaped craft larger than a football field that hovered silently for 45 seconds over their entry control point and then shot off at an impossible speed.”
He goes on to describe further similar events before telling of his personal encounter in 2005. He was off duty and sitting outside his base residence with two other off-duty police officers. The men noticed a light in the sky, which they first thought was a satellite, until it began to perform strange maneuvers
Nuccetelli said:
“Eventually, it appeared 200 feet above my house. It was a 30-foot-diameter sphere of light … my friends and I watched it for a moment and then it gently accelerated and traveled up and disappeared into the stars. This event profoundly changed my life and the lives of my two friends.”
DYLAN BORLAND
Until recently, Mr. Borland was a bona fide Intelligence Community insider with numerous high-level security clearances and years of service. He delivered his opening remarks with his voice cracking, and his nervous, fidgeting body language indicated he was struggling to contain his emotions.
He described how his UFO encounter cost him his job and unleashed a barrage of harassment, threats, sanctions and reprisals from an array of sources within the IC community, as well as from powerful agents of private defense contractors. It seems he is now blacklisted from further intelligence work.
All this because Dylan Borland experienced an amazing encounter with an exotic black triangle-type UFO at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia in 2012. He said his harsh treatment from an IC he had served honorably for years prompted him to become a whistleblower. But he also said the public deserves to know that crafts of most likely nonhuman origin are here — and they are real.
Borland said he was walking outside a barracks area at Langley when he noticed a bright white light moving toward him “along the flight line.” The brilliant orb moved to a position directly above him when he observed — in stunned amazement — the “orb transformed into a huge black triangle” type of craft. He said:
“As the light flies to me, a triangle manifests around the light. I can’t tell you if it is active camouflage, I can’t tell you if it appeared around the light, but I can tell you that it was a white light and then it was a triangle.”
His encounter was close-up. Borland continues:
“It stopped about 100 feet in front of me and approximately 100 feet above me. My telephone got extremely hot, completely froze dead. I remember how thick it was. It was between one and two stories thick, an equilateral triangle. I could never see the top of it, and the edges were 90-degree angles. There were four lights in total. One light on each corner and a larger light in the center, about two or three times the size of the corner light. But what was really odd was the outside.”
He then adds this amazing detail:
“The best way I can describe it is looking at a James Webb telescope picture where you have the colors and then the black background. So, the craft itself was this black metallic flake paint, but on top of the craft was this gold lava plasma type of fluid going over and around the craft. I’m under this for about two or three minutes, and then the center light flashes two or three times, no sound, and it immediately shoots up to commercial jet level … I immediately feel static electricity all over my body, and then I smell of after a thunderstorm or lightning storm … and then it begins to move due east out over the Atlantic.”
Borland said the incident lasted about 15 minutes.
NOTE: Many cases exist of witnesses sighting black triangle UFOs with this exotic “molten lava” or “liquid mercury” attribute flowing along their outer surfaces. For a good example, see my article here: TRIANGULAR UFOS
PROBLEMS WITH THE VIDEO
Again, astounding first-hand witness accounts like those of Dylan Borland and Jeffrey Nuccetelli didn’t merit a single mention by the major mainstream news networks, all of whom instead chose to run and re-run the drone-on-UFO attack by an MQ-9 Reaper drone.
Granted, skeptics (and perhaps journalists) feel justified in dismissing and ignoring the eyewitness testimony because it amounts to “just hearsay.” However, the dubious video received massive coverage and a free pass. One might say the video represents inferior data vis-à-vis the testimony, under oath, of some of our best and brightest military and IC personnel.
Consider:
–> The video has no provenance because it was submitted anonymously to Congressman Burlison. We might stop right there and be justified in rejecting the video as any kind of evidence at all. Just as many people often decry journalists who name “unnamed sources” (anonymous sources), the UFO-drone video is “news” submitted anonymously by an “unnamed source.”
–> The video is what insiders call “a Dead Drop.” That means it was (conveniently?) scrubbed of all ancillaries and the metadata embedded in all such digital images. In other words, there is no way to discern even rudimentary details like the time and date it was recorded, by what equipment, what location and all the rest.
–> Burleson characterized the missile that struck the UFO as a Hellfire missile fired from a Reaper drone — but we can’t even be sure what ordnance was, if a missile at all, since there is no metadata and no attribution to a known source in a verified position of authority to confirm details.
–> The video displays a troublesome glitch — a couple of missing frames — which leaps over a key segment purporting to show the UFO proceeding along its way unharmed and undamaged after being struck dead-on by a missile, if it was a missile.
In short, rather than providing significant evidence of a genuine UFO encounter with conventional military ordnance, the video instead delivers a goldmine of talking points for skeptics, who, of course, wasted no time gleefully jumping all over its many deficiencies, including those I have mentioned here.
It’s unfortunate because this hearing featured real people with real names with verified credentials who also came with documentation — a solid paper trail — for submission to Congress to back up their claims. More than anything else, it was their courageous testimony that moved the ball forward another yard toward the goal of government disclosure of UFO secrets.
